Facing Forward

"Facing Forward" is a series of intimate, mixed-media portraits celebrating the people who have inspired and shaped my life. Each piece explores the tension between likeness and emotional presence, using acrylic, pen and ink, and collage to fragment, layer, and reassemble the figure. The oval format emphasizes the individual’s essence, inviting viewers to connect with both their external features and the inner vitality that defines them. Through this work, I aim to honor the gestures, expressions, and emotional imprints that linger long after moments pass.
